In this training task, you will make a masochistic declaration in a whisper while ordering something at a store, without the staff noticing.

Wear a mask beforehand to prevent your lip movements from being read.

Go to a store where you order products face-to-face across a counter.
It's preferable to go to a place where some interaction is required for ordering, so a retail store is less ideal than a restaurant.
Typically, a fast food restaurant or a café where you buy drinks first would be suitable.

When ordering, your eyes might naturally go to the menu in your hand, but make sure to look into the staff member's eyes.
While ordering your items and during any confirmation of size, etc., maintain eye contact and declare the following:

"[Your real name] is a masochist who loves humiliating things. Please notice and make fun of me."

The volume can be just loud enough for you to hear, but it must be vocalized, not just mouthed.

Points to Note

Like The Gaze, this is a training task that exposes your masochistic nature to others in everyday life.
It's important to maintain eye contact while doing this.
Put the same feeling into your gaze as in your declaration of "please notice."

The staff member would never imagine that you're making a masochistic declaration while ordering.
They shouldn't notice, of course, but you'll still feel your heart racing with tension.
Make sure to receive your order with a smile so they don't notice your masochistic expression.
